Congratulations to the Boys Varsity Soccer Team State Champions!
Concert MPA is just around the corner. We are in need of a lot of helpers to be proper hosts for this event. I have split the time into 2 shift each day. Right now we don’t have enough help for any day or any shift. Please sign up so we can plan accordingly. This is a large event for us. Concessions is by far the bands biggest fundraiser. We took a substantial hit on concessions in the fall with the hurricane. We are counting on this money to finish out this years budget. Remember we volunteer for the students.

Wednesday, Thursday & Friday, March 7 – 9 – Concert MPA, GCHS is hosting this event. We offer full concessions out of the cafeteria. We are in need of people to work the grills & fryers as well as working the window. I have split each day into 2 shifts. Please check the schedule now and help out. If each person takes just 1 shift then it’s easy to distribute the work load. Click here to sign up.
San Antonio Trip:
If you still have questions about your account please email Mr. Carney directly email@example.com. Chaperon’s need to catch up on payments ASAP! If your students has received a new id since we collected in the fall please start sending in copies of those. Mark your calendars for the following dates. Mandatory Chaperon meeting April 2 at 6PM in the band room. Mandatory student/parent meeting for those going on the trip, Thursday, April 5 at 7PM in the auditorium. Mandatory luggage inspection and drop off Saturday, April 21, time tbd, in the band room.
This drive is coming to a close. We are no where near our goal. We need to exceed 100 bags of shoes! Check your closest and gets those shoes sent in. Final day of collections is Wednesday, February 28th.
Please check the band calendar frequently for changes/additions to the kids schedule. May is very busy for concerts and auditions. As a reminder work is never an excuse for a student to miss a band event. The calendar is published well in advance to allow for students to plan accordingly. A lot of next years calendars is already being published. Start writing down those dates.
